Heart’s Truth

“This is the way we know that we belong to the way of truth. When our hearts make us feel guilty, we can still have peace before God. God is greater than our hearts, and He knows everything.” I John 3:19-20 (ICB).

Feelings aren’t how we determine that we are walking in the truth. While we can have feelings that correspond with truth, they aren’t the full measure. As a child of God, we can have peace in this life no matter the circumstance, as we walk with Him. God is Creator of everything and therefore He knows everything. So, if we lose our peace, we know the One who can restore that which is lost. As we spend time with the Lord, He alone can give His heart’s truth.

So, let’s take any guilt or issue before the Lord in repentance, and then receive His loving forgiveness, insight, healing, or whatever we need. We can take this action knowing “greater is He that is in me….” He alone can and will right our wrongs as we seek to walk in His ways. If you would like to know Jesus, here is more information.

Prayer

Father, thank you for helping me to get past myself, and into right standing with you. Please help me as I turn to You; to be more like You. And as Jesus modeled, please help me to say only what you say, and to do only what you do. In all of this I trust and rely on You to develop Your heart’s truth in me. Holy Spirit, thank you for leading me in the way of love and truth. Amen.

Blessings and Peace,

Jacquie ♥

  1. Absolutely true, we cannot depend on feelings to know we are in the truth or doing what is right, for oh how this heart is deceitful and desperately wicked. We have to depend on The Truth at all times. Only He is our road and guidebook. Only He is our map, our anchor and our stay.

      1. We are in our last week of distant learning, and then we start summer break. There is a good possibility that we will be back in the classroom this August 😊. Prayerfully 💚. What is your schedule now and going forward?

      2. Well, this sounds hopeful. As for us, we are still awaiting word. We will continue to direct our club kids to “Good News TV” on YouTube, and communicate with them through our mailbox club. I look forward to hearing about your first day, it will be a joy!
