Recovery is part of life, and moderation is key. When migraines insert themselves in the middle of my to-do’s, I want to compensate for missed goals by attempting to make up for everything I missed in one super woman bound; instead of allowing my body to properly recover.

As people who spend time writing, we know how quickly time passes as we pour our thoughts through our keyboards. Recently after living in a migraine malaise, I felt compelled to adopt a recovery routine.

Recovery Routine:

  • Ease body into activity by doing gentle stretches.
  • Rehydrate
  • Rebound at intervals though the day.
  • Practice the presence of God (take communion | be still | listen).

Have you forgotten that your body is now the sacred temple of the Spirit of Holiness, who lives in you? You don’t belong to yourself any longer, for the gift of God, the Holy Spirit, lives inside your sanctuary. I Corinthians 6:19 TPT.

In this, I sensed God saying: “Care for this body as the Temple of the Holy Spirit. Your days are numbered by Me; how you function in those days is up to you. Choose life – be a good steward of what you’ve been given.” (A life assignment).

So, I prayed, rebounded, stretched, and rehydrated, and took communion. I felt a sense of wholeness wash over me. I remembered the broken body and shed blood of Christ for my healing, forgiveness of sins, and the thought of eternal life with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.” Mark 5:34 ESV.

Faith is action. I believe that sensible temple stewardship is my part of trusting God as I recover and believe for healing. The “when” and “how” of healing is in God’s hands. After all, faith is believing in what is hoped for. When I believe, my actions follow.

I pray that today the healing touch of Jesus is yours. That if there are actions you need to take to facilitate healing, you will make them a priority. God loves you so much He gave His only Son on a cross, so that you would have opportunity to walk this life knowing His love and promises are for the here and now; and forever.

Blessings,

Jacquie ♥
