Faithful Firm Foundation

But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you [setting you on a firm foundation] and will protect and guard you from the evil one. II Thessalonians 3:3 (AMPC).

As we walk amidst the shifting sands of our culture, we can have assurance that “the Rock that is higher than I,” is with us. A life surrendered, in relationship with Jesus, provides the faithful firm foundation our souls long for.

When you are experiencing uncertainty, loss, and upheaval, resulting in loss of peace; you can call out to God, and He will answer. If you don’t have relationship with God; Romans 10:13 says: For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (ESV). Jesus is expert at taking our upside-down lives and turning them right-side up. Whether what you face is the result of your own doing, or someone else’s, God is with you; to guide, to love, to provide, and to extend His peace that transcends all understanding.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 (NIV).

Today, may we remember to stop in the midst of any circumstance or worry, that attempt to play tug-of-war with our soul. To call on the only One who can provide the peace of a firm foundation. The only One who can quell the storms of life, and strengthen and protect you. Let’s offer our worship to God who is worthy. Let’s seek to do good on behalf of another. Then we can stand amazed at His restoration.

  1. Thank you for admonishing us to stop in the midst of worry and call on the One who will give us peace. Often times we get caught up in circumstances and try to navigate things on our own and neglect to talk to the Master. Have a blessed day Jacquie! 💛

  2. I love this, Jacquie. It reminds me of another article I read today where Dawn quoted the scripture in Proverbs: “lean not unto thine own understanding”. God has a bigger picture in mind, He is worthy, and He loves us ❤ Thank you for sharing!
