The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned. Isaiah 9:2.
It is through the cracks of our brokenness that we see God’s light; which allows God to flow to us and through us to those around us. Those of us who believe in Jesus, and celebrate His birth, are in a time of waiting, a time of anticipation.
I like the way Liuan Huska describes this time: “We wait and hope patiently. . . for the emergence of Christ’s light. We allow our hearts to break as we face the tragic reality of our world, so that through the cracks God’s newness can emerge.”

If you are experiencing life through the cracks of a broken heart, then take courage, for you are in prime position to experience God’s newness. The hope that comes as a result of loving (and being loved by God), breathes new life into our soul. Leaning on the Lord means a broken heart doesn’t need to become a dark pit.
Lord, please help us to see that no matter the situation we find ourselves, you have purpose and a plan if we will look to You and not to our own understanding. That if we are looking at life through the cracks of a broken heart, you are here to shine your light of hope. I pray that we would know our part:
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners. -Isaiah 61:1.
Blessings in this season of hope, love, peace, and joy,
Jacquie ♥

This is a beautiful way of looking at our situations.
