Horizon of Hope

Oh to encourage the disheartened,
how good and pleasant when burdened; to
hear words of grace and kindness spoken,
so fitly employed – never a token.

For somewhere on the horizon is hope
you needn’t possess all the answers;
lean on Him, Love, your telescope.

When feeling low and disheartened
praise and worship to get started,
sing your joyous angelic chime;
trust God now, your mountain to climb.

It was after reading kind and uplifting words written by my husband to me, that these thoughts came forth. Life is precious, and capturing encouragements along the way, keeps hope and love alive.

Love and hope are a tonic for the soul, so I pray words of encouragement come to you this day, and may you become a “Horizon of Hope” for those around you.

I am a writer and counselor, who embraces joy and holds tight to hope. I live with my husband Ken, of 44 years, and he is the love of my life. I enjoy inspirational and devotional writing, home decor, gardening, and being in community. My husband and I are missionaries to children in Washington State, and love the privilege of being with them.
