This Time of Year

I love this time of year when you can hear, taste, and see the salty sea wind. I love this time of year when it’s clear that change is upon us. The leaves have begun turning, and the last full blooms of summer are in all their splendor. School buses filled with children, their hearts needing to hear the truth. I pray that each child’s heart is protected from the world’s version of truth. That our students are ensconced in God’s love and protection.

It is a privilege to teach, and in particular our children, youth and teens. I pray that each time we see a school, a school bus, or students out and about that we will pray God’s love and protection to be about them. We can never go back, but we should press in prayer toward a future that only God can provide, as we faithfully seek Him on behalf of our amazing younger generations. I want to share (again) the Scripture that grabs my attention in terms of ministering to our children:

You have built a stronghold by the songs of babies.
Strength rises up with the chorus of singing children.
This kind of praise has the power to shut Satan’s mouth.
Childlike worship will silence
the madness of those who oppose you. Psalm 8:2 (TPT).

As our surroundings change, I pray His love and goodness to overtake you and the students in your community.

  1. Wow Jacquie!! We’re in unison once again. You’re amazing! I will be praying for our children. The enemy is truly trying to deceive them. But our GOD IS greater. 🙏🏿✝️

  2. Love the verse. I teach moms in the morning at the school where their children go. One prayer for me is for their safety and protection as the children come to school and go home. Darkness is attacking children in ways I never experienced

  3. Our new neighborhood is filled with families and young children. Three different school buses come by the house every weekday morning. I enjoy listening to the sounds of parents and children chatting as they wait for the bus. 🙂
