Keep Pace With Your Race, (Five Minute Friday)

27 comments

He will help you pace your race. Don’t cling to how you thought life would be. It can blind you to His possibilities.

Seasons come, then they go; just so you know they are like the wind that blows. Compare yourself to the Word alone, stick to instructions He has shown.

Compliance with God’s pace, brings room to breath, and brings room for growth. You will realize peace in the midst of the storm, through prayer, praise, and trusting the Word.

Don’t be discouraged when feel you are out of step. Persevere when life is severe, and you will catch on. You then will walk joyfully with Jesus.

This bit of prose is representative of five minutes of writing on the topic “pace.”

Blessings,

Jacquie ♥

  1. Great post, and good, solid writing.

    Y’all inspired a short poem. Hope you like it.

    All my life, or so it seems,
    I have been out of step with fate.
    I dodged the bullets, dreaming dreams,
    that I thought would place me with the great.
    But now I have been laid full low,
    and sheer survival is the goal;
    parrying every cancer-blow
    makes exhaustion daily toll.
    But something in me is exalted
    by the narrowness of days;
    though they are bloody-painted
    there’s on my lips a song of praise.
    In the opportunity of dying
    I’ve found the laughter, not the crying.

  2. Thanks Jacquie! Keeping God’s pace is important. For only He knows the plans He has for us, and His timing is always right. If we run ahead of God it’s bad. If we fall behind God it’s bad. So we must instead keep the pace He has ordained for us. Love this Five Minute Friday! ❤️

  3. Like you, I find myself grateful that while the Lord calls us all to keep in step with Him, He also knows the pace we each need to grow in Him. I think this is my first time here so may I say, “Nice to meet you!” 🙂
