“If you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10: 9 AMP).
How is this possible?
For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] will not be disappointed [in his expectations]. (Verses 10-11, AMP).
Bottom Line?
For there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile; for the same Lord is Lord over all [of us], and [He is] abounding in riches (blessings) for all who call on Him [in faith and prayer]. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord [in prayer] will be saved.” (Verses 12-13, AMP).

It seems hard to believe that Salvation could be so simple, but it is. The challenge is walking in the Truth and Love of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This is a lifelong work of the heart and soul. The Good News is that as we read the Bible, pray, and spend time focused on Jesus, He enables us to walk in His precepts.
Let’s pray aloud:
Dear Lord, I thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I ask you to forgive me of my sins and make me whole. I believe that you, Jesus are the risen Son of God. Please take my life and use it for your good. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
God bless you! If you prayed this prayer, you will grow and become strong as a Christ follower, if you seek and attend a church that teaches the Bible. Pray and ask God to direct you. You may hear someone talking about their church, or someone may invite you; regardless of how you get there, once you have a sense that this is where you belong, look for a small group/Bible study to join. Let others know about your decision to follow Jesus. Remember, God loves you!
From my heart to yours,
Jacquie ♥

Thank you Dawn. I wanted to post this on what would have been my father’s 91st birthday, as a tribute. Most important though, is the prayer of repentance, that leads to eternal life. Blessings and thanks for commenting ♥

At the cross of Jesus all people are equal. We are equally in need of forgiveness, in need of his love, equally guilty of sin. There is no other place where absolute equality exists other than to come to the cross of Jesus and receive the gift of eternal life that none of us deserves.

It is as simple as asking and the free gift is given to all mankind. It’s God’s grace that sets us free.
