Easier to Say Than to Do

Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them” John 14:23 NIV.

Submission, easier to say than to do; Taking every aspect of life in its view.

Coming to the end of what might be, close enough to You – that I can see; Your amazing will at work in me.

Help me to see your perfect plan, how much my life is in Your hands; Your words held true since time began. As I walk in Your way each day, let me remain close to your heart; now I will do just as you say.

Submission is easier to say than to do; taking every aspect of life in its view.

“Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God” 1 John 3:21 NIV.

Dear friends, the beauty of submission is that our hearts are fortified, and we have the peace of knowing we are in right standing with our Creator. I encourage you not to allow what you think or feel is the way, in favor of what God says is the way in which to go.

Sometimes it is hard to let go of what we want to say or do, but if our heart condemns us, let’s take that as an opportunity to get before our Father to seek out His will. He “knows the beginning from the end” of each life, so it only makes sense to defer to His loving wisdom. Father God desires to hold you close, and His love and truth will carry you when you feel weak.

I pray that today you may know how much you are loved by Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; and that you may go forth in confidence knowing that no matter how it seems, He has your best interest at heart.

Blessings,

Jacquie ♥

  1. I really like that poem Jacquie. Submission to God’s will is not always easy. I’m thankful He does give us strength to trust and obey as He leads us into His will for our lives. It’s a daily process for sure! ❤️
