Even though snow is delaying the vibrancy of spring, beauty is all around, and my enthusiasm for the season isn’t dampened. I have begun the process of spring cleaning, and find that I have way too much going on here at Joy Cottage. It’s time to do more de-cluttering.
But the thought of de-cluttering leaves me wanting to get back to my priming/paining project in the kitchen.
When we moved to Joy Cottage five months ago, I wasted no time with unpacking. But the kitchen, well, it needed help. It still needs help.
As you can see, I primed the island with Kilz 2. The cupboards above the stove, have potted flowers painted on them. I have nothing against painted flowers or green cupboards, but it’s not really me.
A little more progress:
The pots and flowers have been primed, along with the cupboard to the left of the sink. I’m a fan of white kitchens, and so with the primed cupboards, when the light comes streaming in, I get a glimpse of what’s to come. The white is charming with the natural wood ceiling which serves as a cozy balance. As you can see, I have a ways to go, so . . .
Now it’s time for my second cup of coffee, and a change into my painting clothes. And while de-cluttering is still needed, my kitchen awaits,
